April Showers

I am very close to getting sick. I've felt weird since sunday - kinda dizzy, cloudy-headed... I'm pretty sure that my friend Kira gave me her sinus illness. Either that or the excessive drinking of the last two weeks (hey, I need something to drown out the suckiness of the Habs), or the fact that I ran out of vitamins a few days ago have finally caught up with me.

Chrysler might be closing down on the 30th of April if they can't come to a deal to partner with Fiat like Obama ordered. This could potentially suck big time - on top of all the millions of people that will be screwed over by their closing (as well as the huge hit to cities like Detroit, Flint, Windsor and Brampton) I was slated to start working there full time for the summer on May 1st. When I went into work yesterday, there were a bunch of copies of a letter from the CEO, basically blaming the CAW (canadian autoworkers union) for not willing to make any concessions. Everyone at works seems to be siding with the union.

The habs have lost something like 8 games in a row since Andrei Marko went down, including the first three games of their first round playoff series with Boston. Not only is it crappy having to watch the playoffs when your favorite player is injured but having to watch a team that you have invested so much time and emotional committement to (watching, for the most part, 82 games per season for the last 8 seasons) completely fall apart is pretty much worse case scenario. Everything has gone to shit this season... three quarters of the players severely underperforming, long injuries for ALL of of key players throughout the whole season, the off ice controversies, the French media here going completely batshit crazy, the coach getting fired, 12 unrestricted free agents at the end of the season, the All-star game being played here.... everything amount to one big, stinking, pile of crap of a centennial season. I respect Bob Gainey, but I think this team needs to be blown up - from the front office to the on-ice product. Major changes are needed: new President, new CEO, new GM, new coach, better players.

No, I'm not over-reacting at all... haha ;)

Anyway, i gotta end this rant to go buy massive amounts of fruit, juice, soup and sinus meds. It's gonna be a long week.

Home Stretch

3 more weeks and I'm finished University! I'm so fucking pumped!

I'll be able to work at Chrysler this summer, provided that it doesn't close in the meantime, from May 1st to mid September. I gotta quit my current job by then, which sucks because everyone is real nice and they have treated me well. Also, I just got my insurance from them which gives me until May to go to the dentist and hopefully get my knee checked out cause it's still bothering me after over a month. Knees are really fucking important too - i use mine a lot.

Habs are winning again... Carbonneau got sacked last month and Gainey took over. I had a steamy dream about Bob Gainey a few weeks ago, which is both wierd and a little gross, but surprisingly enjoyable! But that's enough of that....
